✨ DIY Luxury Gift Box from Cardboard

Materials


Step 1: Measure & Plan

Decide your box size.

Example:

Sketch every piece before cutting.


Step 2: Cut the Cardboard

Cut:

Use a metal ruler to ensure perfectly straight edges.


Step 3: Assemble the Box

Glue all side pieces around the base.

Hold each side for about 30 seconds while the glue sets.

Allow the box to dry completely.


Step 4: Strengthen the Corners

Glue small triangular cardboard pieces inside each corner.

This makes the box much stronger and prevents bending.


Step 5: Cover with Black Paper

Wrap every surface separately.

Avoid wrapping the whole box in one piece.

Fold corners neatly like wrapping a luxury gift.


Step 6: Create the Lid

Make the lid slightly larger than the box.

Leave 2–3 mm extra space so it closes smoothly.

Cover it with black cardstock.


Step 7: Add Gold Borders

Cut thin strips of gold mirror cardstock.

Glue them around:

Step 8: Make the Name Plate

Glue it in the center.


Step 9: Decorate the Flowers

Trim the ribbon ends diagonally for a cleaner finish.
